On the first day of third grade Nicole filled out a questionnaire about her future. "I wrote that I wanted to be a model and an actress. Before pursing it, I distracted myself with other ambitions thinking it was impossible, and then someone told me to try it. I found that paper shortly after and it was a great coincidence.” It was her drive and clear vision of her goals that opened many doors for her.
There was a turning point which solidified her desire to pursue modeling, a moment where she found herself seeking the spotlight. “I needed to find something positive; I was feeling ugly and lost, so I turned to pageants.” At fourteen Nicole won a local beauty contest. She moved on to the next level of competition where she took home the title of Sunburst Tri-State Teen Queen. “That changed everything for me. I needed someone, something to boost my confidence, and this made me believe in myself again.”
As a teenager acting was something she always wanted to try. Her first performance was a scene from Our Town in a local beauty pageant. “I felt great performing and I remember that I wasn't nervous about my lines. I had a crying scene and was already in mode backstage. With no formal training people were surprised. I was shocked how comfortable I felt since I was typically shy.”
Nicole quickly found herself signing with several agencies in the mid-west booking everything from commercial and print jobs, to voice-over and runway. “My goals are to live my dreams the way I envisioned it and be able to look back with the hopes that I accomplished everything I wanted in my lifetime."
